April Coronavirus Update 1

To our New Bridge family,

We hope you and your family are safe and healthy during these crazy times. As the days go by, one cannot help but sit and question when this pandemic will come to an end. The CDC and other health experts, at this time, simply do not know. So, for now, we must all continue to social distance and practice good hygiene.

We want to extend our gratitude for your cooperation and continued support during this outbreak. We have received positive feedback to our successful new protocols, and are confident in your future compliance.

Since March 15th, we have instituted curbside service. It has certainly been a time of adjustment for us all. We miss the familiar sounds of laughter, conversation, barking, and meowing in the waiting room; the silence is deafening. Even the fish miss seeing all of you!

At the moment, the two of us are in the office 6 days a week with consolidated hours. While wellness exams and elective procedures have been suspended, due to national and state guidelines, we will always remain committed to caring for your pets.

If your pet is ill, we urge you not to panic. Rest assured, your pet’s care continues to be our top priority and should not contribute to the anxieties that are so rampant during this time. We are in the office to take care of your sick pets and answer any phone calls or email messages.

We are happy to renew your pet’s medications and package them for same-day pickup. If picking something up, please follow our guidelines and instructions for optimal social distancing to keep you safe.

If you are advised to bring your pet in, we ask that you please continue to call us upon arrival and remain in your vehicle. If you have a cat or small dog in a carrier, please keep them in their carrier without any blankets or towels. If you have a larger dog, we will meet you in the driveway with a sanitized leash. We ask that you follow current CDC guidelines as best as possible and cover your mouth and face with a scarf or bandana and park as close to the building as possible.

If you are ill, or find difficulty coming to our office, which is understandable in these circumstances, we are also offering telemedicine consultations via video/phone calls, and rest assured, we will provide the best care, as we always have, to your beloved pet.

We are very thankful for your continued trust, and promise you that our integrity will not waiver during these unprecedented and trying times. We assure you that you do not have to worry about your pet’s care. If you try to reach us after hours, please leave a voicemail or send us an email, as we are constantly picking up these messages virtually. All we ask for is your patience: your messages will be returned as soon as possible, and your pet will be treated in the safest and most appropriate manner possible for us all. We are working to ensure your health and safety, as well as your pet’s.

We remind you to stay indoors, avoid gatherings and wash your hands. These times are lonely, confusing and scary. However, our sacrifices are made for the health and wellbeing of our community, our state, and our world.

We are forever grateful for those members of our community who must leave their homes. We thank all of those who are putting themselves on the front lines, every single day. We send our support to the medical professionals, those in grocery stores and pharmacies, delivery and gas station workers, and all who risk their lives for us. We extend a very special thank you to our clients who put themselves at risk each and every day. Let’s stay inside, for those who can’t.

Lastly, if you or your loved ones are ill or are at increased risk for contracting the virus, please contact us. We are here to help, in any way we can, in addition to delivering your pet’s medications. If you need groceries, your prescriptions, or anything from the outside, please let us know. The most important thing to remember during these times is our community and those in need. You are all an integral part of our New Bridge family, and our mission is to keep you all safe.

Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have. We understand how difficult every moment can be. We will continue to be in communication with you via phone, email, our website and social media.

Sending you all virtual smooches to your kitties and pooches!

With love and respect,
Dr. Glennon and Dr. Corrao
